Stewart is a Registered Optician who graduated with Honours from the Georgian Bay Opticianry Program.  He worked at a small, privately-owned optical store in Lindsay for five years before returning home to Wasaga Beach and opening MacAlpine for Eyes in 2007.  When Stewart was offered an opportunity to join our optometry practice this year, he jumped at the chance to join the NTOC/GBOC team.  Being on the "front line" of the optical field and working side by side with our Optometrists and Team is of extreme interest to him.  He enjoys sharing his optical expertise with patients and ensuring a fun and educational eyecare visit.

Stewart is married and enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter.  He likes to stay active by playing hockey and other recreational sports.

Cheryl proudly lives in Wasaga Beach with her family, and is the warm smile that will greet you when you first enter our clinic.  She is fully trained in various facets of the pre-testing of your visit and is also one of the technicians who regularly administer the visual fields testing.  Cheryl brings an extensive administrative background to GBOC, and it is her goal to provide each patient with a comfortable and memorable eye care experience.

Cheryl recently completed the Certified Canadian Optometric Assistant course, which is enabling her to knowledgeably assist her team and our patients with their eye care needs.  Booking appointments, providing information, and greeting patients as they arrive in our clinic is the best part of Cheryl's day!
